Temporary delay in LPI premium posting times

November 2, 2026

Over the coming weeks, LPI premiums will be posted later than usual due to a timing difference between Alberta and our collected data source (Chicago, Illinois). This timing difference will impact when market data from the futures market based in Chicago is available.

On November 1, Alberta will remain on Alberta Time (formerly known as Mountain Daylight Time) while Illinois will fall back an hour as part of its seasonal switch to Central Standard Time. This means that the data needed to calculate LPI premiums will not be available until later in the day.

As a result, clients should expect LPI premiums to be available between 2:30 and 2:45 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until further notice.

The LPI administration is reviewing a long-term solution to address these seasonal timing impacts.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work through this transition.
